The order inflow of Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd showed year-on-year growth during Q4 of FY21, in contrast with the de-growth seen in the preceding three quarters.
In an investor presentation filed with stock exchanges on June 29, 2021, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd said that it received orders worth Rs.345.20 crore in Q4 (January to March) of FY21. This was 12.9 per cent higher than the Rs.305.90 crore of order inflow in the same quarter of FY20.
This growth suggests “good recovery” given that the cumulative order inflow in the first three quarters (April to December) of FY21 was down 28 per cent, year-on-year. Owing to this, the total order inflow in FY21 was down 17.3 per cent to Rs.964.90 crore from Rs.1,166.10 crore in FY20.
The presentation also observed that in the “Power & Grid” segment, the ongoing trends are: increasing focus on renewable energy, privatization of power distribution, digitization by discoms and the focus of discoms on improving technical and commercial efficiency.
During FY21, Schneider Electric delivered an “E-House Solution” to an unnamed state government-owned power distribution utility. The objective was to showcase various benefits like space saving, faster execution and simple single-point project management.
The presentation said that 90 per cent of the order was executed within 10 months, despite the COVID-19 lockdown in most months of 2020.
The 33/11kV E-House was equipped with 10 MVA power transformers, 33kV ring-main units, RTU (remote terminal unit). The E-House is integrated with Schneider Electric DMS and SCADA, the presentation said.
In general, Schneider Electric’s E-House is a factory integrated, tested, validated, compact power distribution solution. The E-House contains medium voltage switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, HVAC, UPS, and building management and control systems. It helps reduce construction lead times, optimize the cost of transportation, installation and commissioning, and enhance uptime.
