Gensol Engineering, in a stock exchange filing, said that it has won orders to built solar power plants, with aggregate capacity of nearly 11 mw.
The filing noted that Gensol, during December 2021, won orders from reputed clients to build ground-mounted and rooftop solar power plants, with a total installed capacity of 10.7 mw.
The value of these orders (excluding taxes) is Rs.22.50 crore, and these projects will be set up across Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh, Gensol said.
While most of the projects are for captive use of the clients, one of the projects is for third-party sale, in Gujarat. All these projects are slated for commissioning before March 31, 2022, the filing said.
These orders have taken Gensol Engineering’s cumulative order book position to over Rs.131 crore, as of December 29, 2021.

Gensol Engineering, in a recent separate filing, also said that it expects revenues from its electric vehicle (EV) business to cross Rs.50 crore in FY23. Currently, the company has leased out a total of 181 EVs to a reputed ride-hailing company operating in Gurugram and New Delhi.
By the end of December 2021, Gensol planned to add another 67 new EV vehicles to its fleet. The company added that by the end of 2022, plans have been firmed up to add as many as 3,000 EVs to the company’s fleet.
