GE T&D India: Order inflow up 27 per cent in Q1FY23

GE T&D India has reported a 27 per cent year-on-year growth in order inflows during the first quarter of FY23.
In a release, GE T&D India said that new order inflows during the first quarter (Q1: April to June) of FY23 stood at Rs.599.50 crore, up 27 per cent from Rs.472.30 crore in Q1 of FY22.
Key orders booked in Q1 of FY23 included:
- 400kV, 315 MVA power transformer for Aditya Aluminium for their plant at Lapanga in Odhisa.
- 400kV GIS bay with reactor for NHPC at Parabati Phase II
- 245/145kV GIS in utility infrastructure space for Kalpatru at Durgapur
- 245/72.5kV GIS supply and erection contract from KEC in KPTCL substation at Bengaluru
- 245 kV GIS Package at NHPC Teesta Hydroelectric Plant via BHEL
- 400kV 125 MVAR reactor bay at Birsinghpur from M.P. Power Generation Company Ltd
- Service contract for 400kV upgradation work at Kahalgaon for NTPC
Order book
As of June 30, 2022, GE T&D India had an outstanding order book position of around Rs.3,662 crore. Private sector entities dominated this order book with a share of 61 per cent, followed by state utilities with 21 per cent, Central utilities with 14 per cent. Public sector entities accounted for the remaining 4 per cent.
Key projects commissioned
Some of the important projects commissioned by GE T&D India during Q1 of FY23 were:
- 220/110kV six GIS bays for KSEB at Vizhinjam
- 220/110kV GIS substation for KSEB at Ettumanoor
- 2×50 MVA, 132/33kV along with 9x33kV Bays at JUSNL at Naudiha
- 1x132kV GIS bay extension for OPTCL Unit VIII at Bhubaneshwar
- 400kV bus reactor for PGCIL at Thiruvalam
- 5 bays 220kV GIS substation along with line 220kV 1&2 with associated 220kV AIS outdoor equipment, bus 1&2 & Buscoupler for HPCL at Vizag
- 1×40 MVA, 220/ 33kV transformer along with 33kV GIS for BPC at Dagapela, Bhutan
- 220kV AIS bays (two) for MSETCL at Eklahare, Nasik
