The state load dispatch centre (SLDC) of Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company Ltd (MPTransco) has won a national excellence award.
In a statement, MPTransco said that its SLDC located in Jabalpur has been awarded the “Load Dispatch Centre (LDC) Award 2022”. The award was presented at the National Power Systems Conference (NPSC) held at Delhi, recently.
The award was presented based on various parameters including creation of world-class infrastructure, leadership in innovation, development of cyber-security for the first time in the country, among others.
MP SLDC won the recognition after three round of competition organized by IIT-Delhi, Forum of Load Despatchers of India and Grid-India.
On this remarkable achievement Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Praduman Singh Tomar recognised and congratulated all the personnel of State Load Dispatch Center Jabalpur for their dedication and untiring efforts in realizing this achievement.
In the first phase of the competition, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana states were selected on the basis of key performance indices identified by the Selection Committee.
In subsequent rounds, Madhya Pradesh State Load Dispatch Center took a lead and was declared Winner on the basis of excellent video presentation and exhaustive interaction with the Jury which comprised of eminent experts from IITs, Grid-India and The Energy Research Institute (TERI).
Tomar stated that all the SLDCs in the participated in the LDC Excellence Award. MP SLDC was selected due to its remarkable achievement in the field of cyber-security, Innovative Work of integration of energy meters into SCADA/EMS system, maintenance of disaster recovery centre, islanding scheme, RE integration, grid operation, etc
