Larsen & Toubro, in a stock exchange communication, said that its Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) business has won three orders, including one international mandate.
The first order was clinched by the “Renewables” arm of the PT&D business. This is a turnkey EPC order to construct a 112.5-mw solar power plant in the south-west part of West Bengal, the communication said.
An unnamed state government entity is developing this project with financing from a foreign development bank, L&T said, adding that the package has been awarded under international competitive bidding.
The second order to be implemented in the central-western part of Uttar Pradesh is part of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). The order, on which no further details were provided, aims at development of power distribution infrastructure entailing loss reduction works including GIS-based asset mapping, L&T said.
The third mandate, won overseas, is to implement the electrical system along with associated civil and instrumentation works for an energy company in the Middle East.
