Torrent Power has announced the incorporation of two new subsidiaries in the “Torrent Urja” series, taking the total to five.
In two separate stock exchange filings, Torrent Power said that it has incorporated two new wholly-owned subsidiaries that will be engaged in the renewable business.
The total number of such subsidiaries now stands at five. Over the past two weeks, Torrent Power had announced the creation of three such subsidiaries.

The two most-recent subsidiaries are “Torrent Urja 9 Private Limited” and “Torrent Urja 13 Private Limited”, abbreviated as TU9 and TU13.
The previous three subsidiaries, named in a similar fashion, are TU10, TU11, and TU12. (Read more)
Each of TU9, TU10, TU11, TU12, and TU13 has been incorporated with the object to carry on the business of generation, transmission, distribution, purchase, procurement, sale, trading, import, export or otherwise deal in all forms of electrical power and energy including non-conventional and renewable sources of energy, Torrent Power said.
