ABB India: Order inflows grows 41% in Apr-Jun 2021

ABB India reported a 41 per cent year-on-year growth in its order inflow for the April-June period of 2021.

In a release, ABB India said that total orders for Q2 of 2021 stood at Rs.1,689 crore as compared with Rs.1,200 crore in the same period of 2020.

“The month of June witnessed a gradual bounce back in orders by most businesses despite various state level lockdowns in the first two months of the quarter. There was a marginal dip in orders sequentially with businesses impacted by localized impact of the second wave,” ABB India said.

The company’s electrification business area secured orders from utility, data center segments for a range of power equipment especially in the low voltage category.

Outlook

Regarding the business outlook, ABB India said that it will continue to leverage growth pockets and calibrate its businesses to the recovery of growth industries like datacenters, renewables, electronics, food & beverage, and pharmaceuticals and other large core industries that should re-start long overdue capex cycle.

“ABB India remains cautiously optimistic on order wins and seamless execution in close engagement with customers while gaining operational efficiencies & innovative sustainable practices,” the statement said.

 

Note: The April-June period represents the second quarter (Q2) of ABB India’s accounting year that ends on December 31.
