Adani Electricity has received the distribution licensee mandate for the SEEPZ special economic zone (SEZ) in Mumbai.
An official company release said that “AEML SEEPZ Ltd” (ASL) has been granted the distribution license to operate as a dedicated utility for SEEPZ SEZ.
“With operations commencing on November 1, 2023, SEEPZ is poised to experience an energy revolution,” the release said.
This milestone is the result of collaborative efforts between SEEPZ authority and SEEPZ Member Associations, culminating in “Adani Electricity – SEEPZ’s” commitment to providing sustainable energy from reliable sources to fuel SEEPZ businesses.

Note: SEEPZ (Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone) was formed in May 1973 as an export processing zone (EPZ) for manufacture and export of electronic items. In 1987-88, the gems & jewellery line of business was added.
