Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL), in a release, said that it has commissioned a wind power project in Gujarat, nine months ahead of the scheduled completion date.
This is AGEL’s sixth project, in the past 12 months, which has been commissioned before schedule, the release added. The newly-commissioned 150-mw wind power asset is located at Kutchh in Gujarat and has a 25-year power purchase agreement with Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) at Rs.2.82 per kwh. The project was housed in Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Three Ltd, a subsidiary of AGEL.
Like all its other assets, the newly commissioned plant will be managed by the Adani Group’s intelligent Energy Network Operation Centre (“ENOC”) platform that gives AGEL complete centralized visibility and an ability to manage its renewable energy assets on pan India basis, the release noted.
With the commissioning of this 150-mw wind power project, AGEL now has operational wind power capacity of 647 mw. AGEL’s total operational renewable energy portfolio now stands at 5,070 mw. Adani Group has envisioned 25 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2025.
AGEL’s total renewable energy portfolio has reached 24,294 mw. This includes assets under acquisition and those for which Adani Green has emerged as L1 bidder. It may be noted that Adani Group has entered into definitive agreements to fully acquire the renewable energy portfolio of SB Energy, worth 4,954 mw. This includes 1,400 mw of operational assets, 2,854 mw under construction, and 700 mw under confirmed pipeline.
