Adani Green Energy Ltd announced that its subsidiary has won a 300-mw wind power project in a tender floated by Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI).
In a stock exchange filing, Adani Green Energy Ltd said that its wholly-owned subsidiary Adani Renewable Energy Holding Fifteen Ltd (AREHFL) received the letter of award for this project as part of the SECI tender.

The overall SECI tender (Tranche X) was for setting up ISTS-connected wind power projects aggregating 1,200 mw. AREHFL won 300-mw, quoting a fixed tariff of Rs.2.77 per kwh, for a period of 25 years.
With this win, the total renewable energy capacity of Adani Green Energy Ltd has risen to 15,165 mw, including 3,395 mw in operation and the remaining 11,770 mw under construction.

Acquisition of solar asset from SkyPower Global
Adani Green Energy Ltd very recently signed a share purchase agreement for acquisition of 100 per cent stake in an SPV holding 50 mw operating solar project of the Toronto-headquartered SkyPower Global. The project is located in Telangana and was commissioned in October 2017 and has a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Southern Power Distribution Company Ltd of Telangana. The 3,395 mw of operational capacity discussed above includes the newly-acquired 50 mw in Telangana.
Other winners
It is independently learnt that other winners in this 1,200-mw SECI tender were JSW Future Energy (450 mw), Ayana RE (300 mw) and Evergreen Power Mauritius (150 mw). All these three entities quoted Rs.2.78 per kwh. It is further learnt that these 1,200 mw worth of wind power projects will be set up in Rajasthan.
