Adani Transmission Ltd (ATL) added over 1,000 ckm of transmission lines to its operational network portfolio during FY22 (April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022).
With respect to transformation (substation) capacity, ATL saw a 29 per cent growth with such capacity growing to 40,001 MVA as of March 31, 2022, from 30,905 MVA as of the same date in 2021.
ATL maintained transmission line availability of 99.70 per cent in FY22, the presentation said.
During FY22, ATL commissioned three transmission schemes, all under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route:
- Ghatampur Transmission Ltd
- Bikaner Khetri Transmission Ltd
- Fatehgarh Bhadla Transmission Ltd
Regarding new projects, ATL was awarded two new TBCB-based transmission schemes during FY22 – Karur Transmission Ltd and Khavda-Bhuj Transmission Ltd. (Read more)

Power distribution business
The power distribution business of ATL, being undertaken by subsidiary Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML) witnessed a growth of 11.2 per in electricity sales—from 7169 million kwh in FY21 to 7976 million kwh in FY22. There was a significant growth in the share of the industrial and commercial sector in the total consumer base of AEML, in FY22. This resulted in higher revenues from electricity sales in FY22.
As of March 31, 2022, AEML had a total consumer base of 3.08 million, as against 3.06 million in March 2021. Distribution losses were restricted to 6.47 per cent in FY22 from 7.82 per cent in FY21.
