Adani Transmission Ltd (ATL) has added 2,536 circuit km (ckm) to its power transmission network portfolio during FY21, it is reliably learnt.
Meanwhile, ATL has planned capital expenditure of Rs.4,500 crore during FY22. Out of this, Rs.3,000 crore would go towards the power transmission business while the remaining Rs.1,500 crore would be for the power distribution business.
ATL, through its subsidiary Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML) is the power distribution licensee in Mumbai, catering to over 3 million consumers.

ATL has 22 power transmission projects won under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route. Out of these, 13 are operational with an asset base of Rs.6,800 crore while nine, with an asset base of Rs.8,300 crore, are under construction.
ATL’s power transmission network has seen a steady growth from 5,450 ckm as of March 31, 2017 to 17,276 ckm, as of March 31, 2021 (See table).
