Azure Power has announced full commissioning of its 300-mw “Rajasthan 8” solar project located at Bhadla in Rajasthan.
In a release, Azure Power said that it has fully commissioned the 300-mw interstate transmission system (ISTS)-connected solar power project allocated by Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).
Power generated from this solar asset is being supplied to SECI at a tariff of Rs.2.58 per kwh, under a 25-year power purchase agreement.
Following this, Azure Power has now operationalized 2,683 mw s of high-performing renewable energy assets in India, Azure Power said.
In January this year, Azure Power had commissioned a similar solar project, also in Rajasthan. (Read more)
“We are extremely delighted with the progress we have made in operationalizing our under-construction projects, despite the health and supply chain challenges in the last two years. We have operationalized close to 700 mw in this fiscal year so far, which reflects our strong project development and execution capabilities,” observed Ranjit Gupta, MD and CEO, Azure Power.
