Black & Veatch elevates Rajiv Menon

Black & Veatch has appointed Rajiv Menon as new Managing Director for its India business. Rajiv joined the company in 2013 as Executive Director of Commercial and Business Development. Since then the company has played an increasingly significant role in ground-breaking national and local government, and private sector, infrastructure projects across the oil and gas, power, water sectors. Rajiv has strong techno-commercial acumen, and chemical engineering and financial management degrees from reputed Indian universities, a release from B&V said.

It may be mentioned that Black & Veatch is also providing consultancy services for Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai’s (MCGM) Malad zone wastewater treatment facility. The project, once commissioned, is likely to be one of India’s largest in terms of treatment capacity. The company is also developing India’s largest recycled water master plan for MCGM.

Schneider Electric India Appoints New Head for Industry Business

Schneider Electric has announced the appointment of Meenu Singhal as the Vice President of its Industry business. In his new role, Meenu will be responsible for accelerating Schneider Electric’s growth of the business with a focus on automation of industries and will drive the push for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) platform across businesses for building greater efficiencies.

Meenu’s joining comes at an exciting time in industrial automation, with the IIoT offering unprecedented possibilities of building efficiencies across an entire system of an industrial operation. Toshiba-Johnson Elevators appoints new MD

Toshiba Johnson Elevators (India) Pvt Ltd (TJEI), an affiliate company of Toshiba Corporation, has announced the appointment of Junichi Kyushima as its new Managing Director effective July 6, 2017. Kyushima, currently serving as the Vice President of Toshiba Elevator and Building Systems Corporation (TELC), has served as part of senior management responsible for Overseas Division and has played a vital role in TELC’s entire global business operations. Kyushima in his earlier stint in India, has served as Managing Director at TJEI from 2012 through 2015, and with his abundant experience in both strategic global business operations and specialized experience in the Indian market, he will play a key role in TJEI’s strategic efforts to grow into a major player in India’s elevator/escalator business, a release from Toshiba Group said.

  • Schneider Electric has appointed Venkatraman Swaminathan as the Vice-President, IT Division – India Zone. He takes over from Nikhil Pathak, who has moved to a new role as the Vice President – Strategy Deployment and Operations, ROW – IT Business at Schneider Electric.  In his new role, Venkatraman will be responsible for driving the growth of the overall IT Business in India. With over 26 years of experience in the field of sales, service and marketing, Venkatraman brings a wealth of experience in the field, having evolved business critical solutions for spaces like data centers switch rooms, test laboratories etc. The future of datacenter is going to be different in terms of managing power and energy and big data. Venkataraman will be responsible to lead the business towards the New World of Energy, which is safer, more efficient and sustainable with the support of innovative, connected technologies, a release from Schneider Electric India said.
  • Ravinder Shan has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Hartek Solar Pvt Ltd, which is a newly-formed business vertical of Hartek Group. Hartek Solar has been formed with a view to consolidate Hartek Group’s position in rooftop solar domain by coming up with innovative solutions, attractive business models to capitalise on emerging trends. Having commissioned 13.75 mw rooftop projects under Hartek Power, Hartek Solar will focus its attention on commercial spaces and industries, but also plans to enter residential category with customised solutions.
