Union power minister R.K. Singh recently reviewed the Draft Distribution Perspective Plan for power sector in India. The draft plan is the first ever plan at Distribution level which has been prepared by Central Electricity Authority (CEA) under the guidance of the Ministry of Power.

Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) announced that it has entered into binding agreements with CLP India Pvt Ltd to sell its stake in three power transmission assets, in a deal that is estimated at Rs.3,275 crore. The transaction is subject to requisite approvals and compliances.
Siemens Ltd has set up the Protection Automation and Control Laboratory, an integral part of POWERGRID Advanced Research and Technology Centre (PARTeC) for Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. The laboratory, located in Manesar, Haryana, is the first of its kind in India. The project was implemented meeting critical time schedules, a statement by Siemens said.
