CTC Global and Gupta Power have established a new partnership to produce, distribute, market and sell ACCC (aluminium conductor composite core) electrical conductors in India using CTC Global’s internationally patented ACCC conductor core and settled the litigation filed by CTC Global relating to the enforcement of its patents right in India.
KEC International has signed a share purchase agreement (SPA) with Adani Transmission Ltd for selling its entire stake in KEC Bikaner Sikar Transmission Pvt Ltd at an enterprise value of around Rs. 227.50 crore. The deal is subject to regulatory and other approvals, KEC International said in a statement. This sale is in line with KEC’s strategy to focus on its core EPC business, the company said.
The Maharashtra government is hopeful of soon appointing distribution franchisees in two circles, bidding for which is currently underway. Franchisees for the Malegaon and Mumbra-Kalwa circles will be made by end of December this year, according to Arvind Singh, Principal Secretary (Energy), Government of Maharashtra. Singh was addressing a select media gathering during the “Distribution Utility Meet 2018”, organized by Tata Power in Mumbai recently.

Tata Power, on September 19, 2018, launched its VoiceBOT “TINA”, thus becoming the first utility in India to offer such a service to its customers. TINA, now powered by Google Assistant will allow the company to address all the customer queries using any compatible Android or iOS mobile devices and Google home devices, without downloading the app, or visiting the company website, a release from Tata Power said.
