In a move to help its consumers take better control of their energy usage, Tata Power, has rolled out a new service ‘Know Your Electricity Consumption’ that allows its customers to view their power consumption trend through an online dashboard.
Tata Power launches its VoiceBOT “TINA”

Tata Power, on September 19, 2018, launched its VoiceBOT “TINA”, thus becoming the first utility in India to offer such a service to its customers. TINA, now powered by Google Assistant will allow the company to address all the customer queries using any compatible Android or iOS mobile devices and Google home devices, without downloading the app, or visiting the company website, a release from Tata Power said.

Siemens announces completion of Indo-Bangladesh HVDC link

Siemens recently announced that in June this year, it fully commissioned the second block of the high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) back-to-back link in Bheramara, Bangladesh, to connect the electricity supply networks of India and Bangladesh with a transmission capacity of up to 500 mw.
Adani completes acquisition of RInfra’s power business

Adani Transmission Ltd, part of the Adani Group, announced that it has acquired Reliance Infrastructure’s integrated business of generation, transmission and retail electricity distribution. The deal is worth Rs.18,800 crore, and was in the making since December 2017.
