Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) said that it has received the letter of intent for the Jam Khambhaliya augmentation scheme, under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route.
The National Committee on Transmission (NCT), in its latest (22nd) meeting held on August 23, 2024, has recommended the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) route for four interstate transmission system (ISTS) schemes with an aggregate estimated project outlay of over Rs.10,000 crore.
An interstate transmission system (ISTS) scheme to cater to upcoming green hydrogen/green ammonia plants at Tuticorin in Tamil Nadu was recently approved by the National Committee on Transmission (NCT). It may be recalled that a scheme to serve such units in Gujarat’s Kandla area is also in the making.
