The Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago (EPIC India) has signed an MoU with REC Ltd and REC Power Development and Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) to enable an evidence-based approach to improve the electricity distribution utility performance by designing innovative policy interventions for pilot and evaluation.
Torrent Power has entered into formal agreements to acquire 51 per cent equity stake in the special purpose vehicle “Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd”. With this, Torrent Power is set to take over power distribution activities in the Union territory.

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) achieved 8,760 MU volume in February 2022 comprising 7,695 MU in the conventional power market, 453 MU in the green power market and 612 MU in the REC Market. Overall, IEX achieved 29 per cent year-on-year volume growth across all market segments during the month.
