Ducon Infraprojects, along with its partners, will provide its clean-coal technology flue gas desulphurization (FGD) for the 2×600-mw Singareni thermal power plant in Telangana.
In a stock exchange communication, Ducon Infraprojects said that it had bid for the project along with its affiliate US-based Ducon Technologies Inc, and a leading (unnamed) EPC company.
Ducon will provide its FGD execution expertise to the project from concept to ommissioning. The anticipated value of the order for Ducon Infraprojects will be in the range of Rs.150-200 crore.
The 2×600-mw Singareni coal-fired power plant is owned by Singareni Coal Collieries Ltd, a subsidiary of Central PSU Coal India Ltd.
Ducon Infratechnologies is also declared as the lowest bidder on two other NTPC FGD projects and is expecting to receive those awards of the FGD orders soon which were announced earlier.
Arun Govil, Manging Director of Ducon, said, “We believe this transition to Clean Technologies is happening faster than the market anticipation. Ducon is uniquely positioned to leverage this transformational opportunity both in terms of intellectual property and execution capability.”
