Eaton, a global power management company, launched an industry-first data center solution –EnergyAware UPS using UPS-as-a-reserve (UPSaaR) in India.
EnergyAware is designed for data centre applications and can be used in any high-capacity IT load, whether industrial or manufacturing.
The solution will enable data centers to contribute to renewable energy and also earn from their UPS investments. As per the estimates, a data centre could receive approx. $60,000 per MW / per year for its non-used capacity.
In India, the colocation/third-party data center market is growing at a CAGR between 7 per cent and 8 per cent, raising the utilization levels of servers and increasing power requirements. EnergyAware is designed for data center applications and can be used in any high-capacity IT load, whether industrial or manufacturing.
