Enphase Energy, Inc. showcased its latest solar and battery solutions, the IQ Battery 5P and microinverters IQ7A and IQ8H, at the Renewable Energy India Expo 2022.
At the Expo, Enphase displayed some of its latest products and solutions such as:
- IQ7A Microinverter: An easy-to-install, efficient and reliable microinverter that is already powering a number of homes in India.
- Latest range of IQ8 microinverter (IQ8P soon to be launched in India): This variant supports the latest higher current PV modules using M10 wafers. The IQ8 product range supports all common PV module powers and cell architectures.
- IQ Battery 5P (Soon to be launched in India): The next generation battery for Enphase and currently unreleased. The IQ battery completes the home energy system and supports customers looking for even more energy independence.
Complete home energy solutions
Sunil Thamaran, Vice President & MD of Enphase Energy India said, “We are excited to participate in the Renewable Energy India Expo to showcase our state-of-the-art solar solutions and engage with partners and customers. For the first time in India we are unveiling the Enphase battery, and introducing the latest microinverters – IQ8H and IQ8P. We plan to move towards providing a complete home energy solution to Indian homeowners and will soon introduce grid agnostic microinverters and storage solutions in India.”
Rising adoption
India is still at a nascent stage when it comes to the adoption of solar. But with increasing awareness and efforts from the government to promote solar, there has been a gradual rise in adoption over the last few years. Technological advancements have played a huge role in driving the growth of rooftop solar in India and through events such as the REI Expo, companies like Enphase are able to showcase its innovative solutions and get a pulse of the solar industry.

Global footprint
In August 2022, Enphase reached a milestone of shipping 5 million microinverters to global markets from its Chennai-based manufacturing facility, which is in partnership with Salcomp. Enphase products power one of India’s largest integrated solar roofs for Pangaea Natural Stone in Rajasthan and the company has been working with the Bangalore Apartment Federation to accelerate the adoption of Solar. Globally Enphase has shipped more than 48 million microinverters, and over 2.5 million Enphase-based systems have been deployed in more than 140 countries.
