Envision Energy India Pvt Ltd has planned to bring to India its newly-launched EN 182/5MW onshore platform, by the first quarter of 2026.
Envision started its operations in India in 2017 with the launch of the EN 131/2.5 MW turbine. In 2021, another high-performance turbine platform EN 156/3.3MW received strong acclaim from 21 IPP customers, enabling the company to execute projects across six states. Envision started R&D for EN 182/5MW platform, targeting delivery for Q1 2026.
Envision Energy India announced its advanced EN 182/5MW onshore platform at Wind Energy Hamburg 2024. This new platform enhances annual energy output (AEP) by over 40 per cent from its current EN 156/3.3MW platform, providing significant benefits for customers. This platform features a larger swept area, with enhanced turbine operational temperature till 50°C ambient and 98 per cent machine uptime in high wind speeds.
The new 5MW onshore platform includes enhanced smoke and fire detection. Envision is also advancing its localization efforts, aiming to increase from 60 per cent for the EN156/3.3MW platform to 75 per cent, ensuring a robust and strengthened supply chain for the new platform.
Higher energy output
