GE T&D India, in a release, said that it received orders worth Rs.21,667 million in FY22, down 5.4 per cent year-on-year. In FY21, the company had won orders valued at Rs.22,904 million.

Of the Rs.21,667 million worth of orders booked in FY22, domestic orders accounted for Rs.14,666 million or 68 per cent. The remaining 32 per cent came from the exports market. Also, seen on a quarterly basis, bookings during Q2 of FY22 (July to September), at Rs.6,341 million, were the highest. (See table)
As of March 31, 2022, GE T&D India had an outstanding order book of Rs.37,227 million. Of this, around 61 per cent were from private sector clients. Another 21 per cent came from state government utilities while the remaining 18 per cent was from Central government utilities.
Commenting on the company’s performance in FY22, Pitamber Shivnani, Managing Director & CEO of GE T&D India Ltd, said, “During the year we continued to demonstrate our operational excellence by commissioning 21 AIS and GIS substations, strengthening the Nation’s transmission network, and adding new capacity into the Grid. This includes commissioning of a 765kV GIS substation for PGCIL at Phagi in Rajasthan. The project is a major milestone for the company, given the complexities, related to terrain and weather, involved in the project.”
“As a leader in the innovation of modern grid solutions, we will continue to work closely with Government and our customers to implement solutions that will help India accelerate in its energy transition journey. As of March 2022 end, we are well positioned with an order backlog of over INR 37.2 billion,” Shivnani added.
