GE T&D India sees 53 per cent growth in order inflow

GE T&D India, in a release, said that its order bookings during the October-December quarter of FY23 were up 52.8 per cent year-on-year.
The release said that order bookings in the quarter ending December 31, 2022 were Rs.779.90 crore as against Rs.510.40 crore in the same quarter of FY22.
In the first three quarters (April to December) of FY23, the total order inflow stood at Rs.1,865.40 crore – up 15.4 per cent from Rs.1,616.70 crore in the same period of FY22.
Domestic orders accounted for 67 per cent of the total order inflow in April-December period of FY23.
As of December 31, 2022, GE T&D India’s outstanding order backlog was Rs.3,482.10 crore with private utilities accounting for 66 per cent.
Key order wins in Q3 of FY23 included:
- 400/220kV GIS turnkey package from a private refinery in Gujarat
- 220kV GIS turnkey package at Kutch Copper Ltd from Adani Transmission
- 400kV air insulated substation (AIS) turnkey package at Rajasthan for SJVNL for 1,000 MW solar plant from Tata Power Solar
- Upgradation of substation automation system (SAS) with cybersecurity at eleven 400kV NTPC sites
- 220kV substation automation system (SAS) for L&T data centre in Kancheepuram from Larsen & Toubro
- 400/220/33 kV Substation Automation System (SAS) in Dharhdehi from Techno Electric.
- 400/220 kV Substation Automation System (SAS) for Gudivada in Andhra Pradesh from Megha Engineering
- Renovation & Modernisation of 400kV and 132kV switchyard equipment and substation Automation system of 400kV switchyard of Rihand Stage-I for NTPC.
Some key orders completed in Q3 of FY23 were:
- Four bays of 765kV GIS with six 765kV line reactors commissioned at Vadodara for LVTL Sterlite Power
- 132kV GIS at Ramnagar for West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Ltd
- 9x245kV bays with SAS augmentation for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) at Salakati Substation
- Eighteen bays of 400kV GIS with 3600m gas insulated busbar for L&T at Thallayapalem in Andhra Pradesh
- Six bays of 220kV GIS with 1,200m gas insulated busbar for Sterlite’s project for PGCIL at Vadodara Gujarat
- 220kV bay along with 220/34.5kV, 50 MVA transformer commissioned at NTPC Unchahar
- 21.6 MVA, 132/27kV TSS (traction substation) transformer commissioned for National Mineral Development Corporation at Nagarnar
