GE Vernova T&D India: Order inflow quadruples in Q2FY25

GE Vernova T&D India saw its order inflow in Q2 (July to September) of FY25 more than quadrupling, year-on-year.
In a release, GE Vernova T&D India Ltd (formerly known as GE T&D India Ltd) said that its order inflows in Q2FY25 stood at Rs.4,682.4 crore, more than four times its comparable level of Rs.1,081.6 crore in Q2FY24.
During H1 (April to September) of FY25, the order inflow touched Rs.5,711.4 crore – up 173 per cent from Rs.2,088.2 crore in H1 of FY24. Domestic orders accounted for 53 per cent of the inflow in H1FY25.
As of September 30, 2024, the company’s outstanding order book position was Rs.9, 835.5 crore out of which 62 per cent was accounted for by private sector entities. While Central utilities and PSUs had a share of 32 per cent, the remaining 6 per cent was from state utilities.
Key orders booked in Q2FY25 included those from:
- Grid Solutions SAS, France and Grid Solutions Middle East FZE, Dubai for supply of high voltage equipment from Padappai and Hosur
- Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) and Grid Controller of India Ltd to establish Regional Load Dispatch centers for Northern region and nine state transmission constituencies with SCADA/EMS technologies
- PGCIL and Grid Controller of India Ltd to establish Regional Load Dispatch centers for Eastern region and six state transmission constituencies with SCADA/EMS technologies
- PGCIL for 765kV power transformers and shunt reactors to be supplied, installed, and commissioned in various ultra-high voltage substations across India
- A reputed EPC player for supply of 765kV power transformer for a substation in Madhya Pradesh
- Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd for supply and construction for 300MW 400kV captive switchyard/PSS from in Maharashtra
- IndiGrid for GIS Bay Extension at Prithala substation
- Energinet, the Danish national transmission system, for supply of 400kV circuit breakers
- ElectraNet Australia for supply of high voltage instrument transformers
- Various EPC players for supply & commissioning of 765/400/220kV CRP SAS for various TBCB projects
- A leading global EPC firm for 400kV, 220kV & 132kV gas insulated switchgear for EHV substations in West Bengal
Key projects commissioned in Q2FY25 included:
- A 132/33kV substation with 2×50 MVA 132/33kV transformers of JUSNL Mahuadarn under a World Bank funded project
- Charging of 765kV line bay, 765kV tie bay and 765 & 400kV 1,500 MVA ICT Bay at 765/400kV at New Kotra Substation of PGCIL
- A 500 MVA power transformer, 125 MVAr reactor, 16 Bays, AIS line bay for Renew at Gadag and Narendra
- Commissioned extension scope of 220kV line bays and 220kV bus sectionalizer for Hindalco at Jharsuguda, Odisha.
- 765 kV transformers for PGCIL at Bhadla
- 765kV transformers for Doosan at Obra.
- 400kV transformers and shunt reactors for Doosan at Jawaharpur
Solid second quarter
