Goldi Solar has completed the supply of solar modules aggregating over 2 mw to EPC company Aditya Energy, Goldi Solar said in a release.
These modules have been installed at a solar photovoltaic project at Viramgam in Ahmedabad district of Gujarat. Goldi Solar supplied “GOLDI 72GN poly-crystalline modules of 335Wp for this project, which has already been commissioned earlier this month. The Gujarat-based company, with over a decade of industry experience, has so far shipped more than 500 mw of solar modules to over 20 countries globally.
Goldi Solar is known best as a quality conscious brand owing to its quality products and quality people. The company currently operates a 500-mw state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Surat, and is currently in capacity expansion mode.
Significant capacity expansion
Goldi Solar has planned a new solar module manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 2 GW in Gujarat, taking the company’s total module capacity to 2.5 GW.
The current manufacturing facility, also located in Gujarat, has an annual capacity of 500 mw. Goldi Solar’s existing 500-mw facility is located in Pipodara while the new 2-GW unit is shaping up at Navsari. Both locations are on the outskirts of Surat.
The new facility will be commissioned in two phases, with full completion targeted by March 31, 2022. Among several other unique features, the new solar module facility will be equipped with first-of-its-kind micro-gap module technology (MGMT). The new modules will have a gap of less than 0.75 mm as opposed to the standard 1.5 mm between the cells in the string. This ensures better coverage resulting in improved productivity and higher output.
