Power Exchange India Ltd (PXIL), India’s first institutionally promoted Power Exchange has made its contribution to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) fund to assist in providing relief measures to the affected people in today’s difficult times of COVID-19 pandemic. The contribution is made by all the company employees and staff by dedicating their one day’s salary. In addition to this, PXIL has also contributed more than equal amount to the sum collected through employee support towards PM-CARES fund. In the current situation where power sector has been classified as an ‘essential service’, the PXIL team is working tirelessly to keep the markets open and continue to ensurethat operations are running smoothly for the customers 24×7 to provide uninterrupted power supply amid the national lockdown or any other eventualities.
In an unwavering endeavor to support the authorities in their battle against COVID 19, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has undertaken a several measures in the areas of health, safety and food in support of Karnataka Government and local administration to safeguard the health and well-being of the care givers. TKM has pledged to support the authorities with 45 thermal scanners (20 to the Bangalore police and 25 to quarantine hospitals) to enable quicker detection and proactive support to affected individuals. In addition, the company has provided 45,000 hand sanitizers bottles, 100 bedding, consumables for 100 patients, 20 sets of equipment’s such as IV stands and BP monitors and safety gears including 12,000 examination gloves, 70,000 3 ply face masks, 7500 N95 masks to Health Department, Government of Karnataka, Bangalore police personnel and community. In order to safeguard the citizens and to stop the virus from spreading further, TKM has also offered fumigation equipment, 10 numbers to Victoria Hospital through BMCRI and 10 numbers to the Town Municipal Corporation, Bidadi, Ramanagara District, Karnataka as per their requirements.
To support the noble cause of fighting the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in India, ITI Ltd has contributed Rs.64 lakh to the Prime Minister’s citizen assistance and relief in emergency situation fund (PM- CARES fund). Further, the company has also proposed to contribute approx. Rs.45 lakh as one-day salary contribution from all employees of ITI Ltd. In addition to this, ITI has also launched a number of CSR initiatives to support the country’s fight against the Coronavirus (COVID). The company has adopted 1000 families in its neighborhood at Ambedkar Nagar colony, Bengaluru and distributing 3000 kits of ration to the needy people of area.
Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC) has agreed in principle to provide a financial assistance of Rs.50 lakh to Indian Red Cross Society. Under the CSR Initiative, the financial aid provided by PFC will be used for distribution of Health Masks and Sanitizers, as a part of preventive measures against COVID-19, in the State of Rajasthan through Indian Red Cross Society. PFC stands strongly by the society in these testing times. As a responsible corporate, PFC will work towards implementation of all precautionary measures to deal with the pandemic.
ReNew Power announced that it will contribute to the central and state governments’ efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in India. ReNew is initially committing Rs.20 crore to this initiative. Out of this, Rs. 10 crore will be contributed to the PM CARES fund, and Rs.5 crore will go towards the Chief Minister’s relief fund in various states. The rest will be spent on several activities targeted to directly help communities impacted by the lockdown and to bolster the health infrastructure to tackle the pandemic. As part of these activities, ReNew Power will focus on feeding migrant labourers, daily wage workers and locals around its sites spread across the country by distributing dry ration packets in conjunction with the local administration. The company will be working across its sites in the states of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra and will cover around 140 villages. Additionally, ReNew is adopting a village in Haryana, where around 350 vulnerable households will be provided with dry ration and hygiene kits.
Wire and cable manufacturer, KEI Industries Ltd has pledged Rs.2 crore to the PM Care Fund supporting the call of fighting against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in India. The company recognizes the current situation in India and across the world is of grave concern and needs immediate action. Being a socially responsible corporate, KEI has in the past risen to the needs of the nation and has thus come forward to contribute to the Prime Ministers Citizen’s Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation Fund (PM Care Fund). Further, acknowledging that due to the nationwide lockdown there are a huge number of migrant labourers and daily wage workers who are struggling for survival, the company has taken up the responsibility in partnership with ISKCON to serve meals to these individuals and has thus contributed Rs.50 lakh to ISKCON.
