IRCON International, in a stock exchange communication, has said that it has won railway electrification orders worth Rs.1,900 crore.
The Central government-owned IRCON International said that the railway electrification works, spread over 2251 route km, was won from the Ministry of Railways, under competitive bidding among PSUs.
The tenure for execution of the projects will vary from 15 to 20 months from the date of signing of the agreement with the zonal railway concerned.
IRCON International, without giving further details of the orders, said that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be executed between IRCON International and the zonal railway concerned, in due course.
There are 16 zones under the Indian Railways. Each zone has multiple divisions, and the total number of such divisions is around 70.
