IRCON International has reported the winning of orders valued at Rs.723 crore from National Capital Region Transport Corporation, IRCON said in a stock exchange filing.
IRCON has won the following two orders:
- Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of receiving substations and associated works on viaduct and tunnel from Sarai Kale Khan to Duhai (EPE) [including Jangpura Stabling Yard and Duhai Depot], and SCDA system for complete corridor of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor of NCRTC for the accepted contract amount of around Rs.318 crore. The tenure for execution of works is 50 months.
- Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of receiving substations and associated works on viaduct and tunnel from Duhai (EPE) to Modipuram [including Modipuram Depot] for Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor of NCRTC for the accepted contract amount of around Rs.405 crore. The tenure for execution of works is 54 months.
The associated works referred to in the two contracts includes 25kV AC traction cum 33kV auxiliary main substations, EHV and HV cabling, 25kV overhead equipment, etc.
National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is a joint venture company of the Government of India, and states of Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. NCRTC falls under the administrative control of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
NCRTC has been mandated for implementing the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) project across the National Capital Region (NCR) of India, ensuring a balanced and sustainable urban development through better connectivity and access.
On October 16, 2020 T&D India had reported that IRCON International had emerged as L1 bidder for these two projects. (Read more)
