Jyoti Structures Ltd has won a contract from Adani Transmission Ltd to build a 765kV transmission line in Gujarat.
In a brief stock exchange filing, Jyoti Structures said that the turnkey contract, valued at Rs.382 crore (including GST), involves design, supply and construction of a 765kV double-circuit line from Khavda to Bhuj, in Gujarat.
The contract is expected to be completed in about 17 months, which is by August 31, 2023.
Though no further details were available in the filing by Jyoti Structures, it is reliably learnt that this contract is for an ISTS transmission scheme being developed by Khavda Bhuj Transmission Ltd – the project special purpose vehicle and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Transmission Ltd.
Adani Transmission, in December 2021, had reported the winning of the Khavda-Bhuj transmission scheme, under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) modality.
The project was awarded by bid process coordinator PFC Consulting Ltd, and will be developed using the build-own-operate-maintain (BOOM) mode, under a concession period of 35 years.
The Khavda-Bhuj project, will help evacuation of around 3 GW of renewable energy from the upcoming mega renewable energy park Khavda. On some 20,000 ha of land at Khavda (Bhuj district, Gujarat) is being planned a huge 3.5-GW hybrid solar-wind park.
