Jyoti Structures has won a contract to build a transmission line for Adani Energy Solutions Ltd.
In a stock exchange communication, Jyoti Structures said that it has won an order for construction and part supply of a 765kV double-circuit “KPSIII – AP44” transmission line, running around 111 km.
The contract worth Rs.117.74 crore, inclusive of GST, is scheduled for completion by October 31, 2025, Jyoti Structures said.
The project is located in Gujarat under the area designated as “Khavda Phase IV – Part A,” the communication said.
From the above announcement by Jyoti Structures, it strongly appears that this contract is related to an ISTS-TBCB scheme housed under “Khavda IV A Power Transmission Ltd” for which bidding is being undertaken by bid process coordinator (BPC) is REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd.
As per latest official information available, two contenders – Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) and Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) – were qualified for submission of price bids. It may now be conjectured that AESL has won this project. However, there has been no official announcement to this effect by the BPC, to the best of T&D India’s knowledge.
The project under “Khavda IV A Power Transmission Ltd” is expected to cost over Rs.4,000 crore and has a gestation period of 24 months. The contract awarded to Jyoti Structures appears to be part of one key project element – a 765kV double-circuit line from the GIS Khavda Pooling Station-3 (denoted as “KPSIII”) to the Lakadia (AIS) substation, running for about 185 km (not circuit km).
