Kalpataru Power lands orders worth over Rs.3,000 crore, proposes name change

 

Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) has reported the winning of new orders worth over Rs.3,000 crore, with a clear dominance of non-power T&D mandates.

In a release, KPTL said that the company, along with its subsidiaries, has received domestic and international orders worth Rs.3,079 crore. These orders were booked during the period March 1, 2023, till April 10, 2023.

Manish Mohnot, MD & CEO, KPTL, said, “We are delighted with the continued momentum in order inflows as we commence the new financial year. We are excited to have our second B&F order in the international market, which is a big step forward for us and in line with our strategy to expand our civil business outside India. The orders in the Railway and Water business have enhanced the order book and improved our market position in these businesses. Our B&F business continues to strengthen and diversify its presence in new areas like data centers, educational complexes, and institutional buildings.”

Change of name

In a stock exchange communication, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd said that the company’s board of directors, in a meeting on April 10, 2023, approved the change in name of the company to Kalpataru Projects International Ltd.

The name change is subject to the approval of applicable statutory and regulatory authorities, KPTL said.
