Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) has recorded its highest-ever order book position, as of December 31, 2022.
In a stock exchange communication, KPTL said that its consolidated order book position as of December 31, 2022, stood at Rs.41,442 crore. Adding around Rs.5,200 crore that represented the company’s L1 position, the combined outstanding order book stood at around Rs.46,642 crore – making it the highest ever.
It may be mentioned that this order book position represented the combined figures of Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (KPTL) and the erstwhile JMC Projects (India) Ltd that was amalgamated with KPTL, effective April 1, 2022.
The outstanding order book (excluding L1 position) for the power T&D business was Rs.14,376 crore, representing 35 per cent of the overall order book position. This Rs.14,376 crore provided order book visibility of 3-4 years, KPTL said.
KPTL said that in the power T&D business, international business visibility remains high considering that over $3 billion of projects are to be bid out in the African, Latin American, MENA and SAARC markets.

Order inflow
During the first three quarters (April to December) of FY23, the cumulative order inflow stood at Rs.19487 crore out of which power T&D had a share of 38 per cent (or Rs.7,501 crore, in value terms). Railways (mainly including electrification works) had a share of 8 per cent. Overall, 61 per cent of the order inflow came from the domestic market while exports accounted for 39 per cent.
