KEC International Ltd, in a release, announced the winning of new orders worth Rs.2,042 crore, across the company’s various businesses.
These orders, which include domestic and overseas mandates, have taken KEC International’s cumulative order inflows in the current fiscal year to over Rs.10,000 crore.
Commenting on the order wins, Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd, noted, “We are delighted with the continuous order inflows across businesses. With the above orders, our order inflows for the current year stand at around Rs.10,500 crore, a robust growth of approximately 40 per cent vis-à-vis last year.”
International order book
“Our international T&D order book has enhanced substantially in the last few months, especially in the Middle East region. The prestigious orders in the water pipeline and data centre segments have expanded our presence in these growing sectors. Our Railway business has further consolidated its order book with orders in both conventional and emerging/new areas. These orders will significantly contribute towards our targeted growth going forward,” Kejriwal added.

Diversified orders
Giving details on the new Rs.2,042 crore worth of orders, the KEC release said that the company’s Power T&D business has landed orders in the Middle East and Americas. In the Middle East, the company has won the mandate for building a 380kV transmission line in Saudi Arabia. KEC’s subsidiary in the UAE, has won an order to supply transmission towers while another KEC’s subsidiary “SAE Towers” will be supplying towers, hardware and poles to the Americas.
The Civil business has secured orders for infra works in the water pipeline and data centre segments in India.
The Railways business has secured the following domestic orders: ballastless track works for metro rail; various overhead electrification orders and orders for composite projects including track laying, electrical, signaling & telecommunication, etc.
The Cables business has secured orders for various types of cables in India and overseas, KEC International said.
