KEC International Ltd has reported the winning of orders worth Rs.1,095 crore from domestic and international customers. This includes around Rs.800 crore of orders from the power transmission and distribution (T&D) business.
The power T&D business, which is the core activity for KEC, landed Rs.260 crore of orders from India and other SAARC countries. Some of these include:
- Turnkey order for construction of a 220kV GIS substation and 220kV transmission line in Karnataka, from Karnataka Power Transmission Company Ltd
- Turnkey order for construction of a 220kV transmission line and 132/33kV AIS substation in Nepal
- Reconductoring order of 132 kV Transmission Line in Bangladesh
In the Middle East, KEC won Rs.510 crore worth of orders that includes a turnkey order for construction of a 400kV overhead transmission line in UAE.
“With the large order in the UAE, along with recent orders in Oman, Jordan and Egypt, we have significantly diversified our exposure in the key Middle East market,” commented Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd.
SAE Towers, a subsidiary of KEC International, received supply orders from the Americas. KEC also reported Rs.168 crore of orders by the railway business, largely for overhead electrification for various projects in northern India. The cables business, formerly RPG Cables Ltd, secured orders of Rs.92 crore for various types of cables.
