KEC International Ltd has clinched new orders worth Rs.1,401 crore across its various businesses, the RPG Group company said in a press release.
Giving details of the new orders, KEC said that the power T&D business (including SAE Towers) has secured the bulk of these orders. Worth Rs.1,143 crore, these pertain to various power T&D mandates placed by Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) and other customers.
The order from OETC is learnt to be amongst the largest orders of KEC in the Middle East region.
The Railways business has secured orders of Rs.120 crore for overhead electrification/civil works in India.
“We have been able to expand our presence in the defence sector from the civil projects to smart infra projects,” notes Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International.
The Smart Infra business has secured orders of Rs.48 crore in the defence segment in India, KEC said. Meanwhile, the Cables business won orders of Rs.90 crore for supply of various types of cables (including cabling projects) in India and overseas.
