LAPP India inaugurates its fourth service point

 

LAPP India has announced the launch of its fourth service point. Located in Vadodara, Gujarat, the facility was inaugurated at the hands of Gary Bateman, Managing Director, LAPP India.

Aimed at providing customized solutions to customers, the service point is spread across 16,000 sqft and is equipped with the latest machinery and trained manpower. The facility specializes in producing end-to-end standard and complex harness solutions focusing on segments like automation, OEM and renewable energy.

The service point is situated in the larger LAPP facility housing a warehouse offering 24×7 availability of stocks and a sales point to meet the MRO requirements of the growing customer base in Gujarat and be a trusted one-stop solution provider for all their cable and connectivity needs, a release from LAPP India said.

 

According to information available with T&D India, the first three service points of LAPP India are located at Dharuhera (Haryana), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Pune (Maharashtra). The Pune facility was launched in February 2022.

 

Comprehensive facility

This service point is equipped with the facilities to manufacture all type of harness with/without over moulding requirement, single core wires, multicore cables, flat/bonded/ribbon cables from 50mm to above 50m as well as customised harness as per the design requirements of the customer.

It includes machines for various operations involved in cable assembly and testing such as cable cutting, stripping, crimping, marking, push pull testing and continuity testing. The infrastructure capabilities available here include tensile tester, electrical crimping machine, pneumatic crimping fix, pneumatic stripper, inkjet printer, HST cutting machine, battery operated crimping machine, cable cutting machine, cutting and winding machine, pneumatic cutting fix and lead-free soldering.

Focus on harnessing business

Speaking on the occasion, Gary Bateman, Managing Director, LAPP India said “This newly inaugurated facility is our latest initiative towards our focus on the harnessing business and achieving the goal of tripling our service points in India by 2027.
