KEC International has secured new orders worth over Rs.1,000 crore across its various business divisions.
In a release, the RPG Group company said that it has clinched new domestic and international mandates worth Rs.1,065 crore across its power T&D and cables businesses. The orders include:
- 400kV transmission line and GIS substation order in India, from a subsidiary of a reputed PSU in renewable power generation segment
- 400/220kV AIS substation order in India, from a leading private developer
- Supply of towers in Africa
- Supply of towers, hardware and poles in Americas, secured SAE Towers, a subsidiary of KEC International
- Supply of various types of cables in India and overseas
With this order, the year-to-date order inflow for KEC International during FY24 has reached around Rs.4,500 crore, representing year-on-year growth of about 30 per cent.
India T&D order book enhanced
According to Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International, “We are pleased with the new order wins, especially the consistent inflows in domestic T&D business. These orders have significantly enhanced our India T&D order book and further diversified our clientele. In line with the thrust of Indian Government on renewable energy, we have secured our second large order from a non-utility client, for distribution of power generated by large renewable parks. The continuous flow of orders in Americas, secured by our subsidiary SAE Towers, reflects the growing market across US, Mexico and Brazil. With these orders, our YTD order intake stands at around Rs. 4,500 crore, with a staggering growth of around 30 per cent vis-à-vis last year.”

Outstanding order book
As of June 30, 2023, KEC International’s outstanding order book stood at Rs.30,125 crore, representing a growth of 27 per cent over the corresponding level in 2022. Besides, the company is placed L1 in orders aggregating Rs.5,000 crore.
