Inox Solar, a subsidiary of Inox Clean, has announced land allocation by Odisha government for a solar cell and solar module manufacturing plant in Dhenkanal,.
Inox Clean is part of the INOXGFL Group, a leader in energy transition and fluorine chemistry. The allocation reinforces INOXGFL’s commitment to sustainability and innovation.
The newly allocated site will house a 4.8 GW solar cell and 4.8 GW solar module plant and will enable Inox Solar to establish a cutting-edge manufacturing facility, further strengthening India’s green energy ecosystem.
Earlier this year, INOXGFL Group had announced a Rs.4,000-crore investment through Inox Solar, to establish a state-of-the-art solar cell and solar module manufacturing unit in Odisha. The High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA)-approved project is expected to generate over 3,400 jobs, thereby driving investment, creating employment opportunities, and supporting Odisha’s long-term economic development.
Inox Solar is targeting an initial cumulative capacity of 4.8 GW of solar modules and 4.8 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity in Odisha.
In a company release, Inox Solar expressed its gratitude towards the Odisha Government, Industrial Department, Land Department, Grid Department, Dhenkanal Administration and the Additional Chief Secretary Hemanta Sharma for their support.
