Otis India introduces Gen2 ‘Stream’ elevator for commercial buildings

Otis India has launched the Gen 2 Stream, the latest version of the company’s all-time, best-selling Gen2 product family.

This model is optimized for the commercial segment and will be built at the company’s manufacturing facility in Bengaluru. Otis Worldwide Corporation is the world’s leading company for elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and service.

New Gen2 model offers larger capacity elevators and compatibility with several next gen smart features in Otis product portfolio.

The new elevator model forgoes the traditional machine room and is offered in two speeds. The first speed moves at 1 meter per second (mps) and is best suited for low-rise commercial buildings, schools and universities and hospitals. The second speed moves at 1.75 mps (meters per second) and is oriented toward mid-rise office buildings and other luxury commercial buildings.

The Gen2 Stream is offered in a wide range of designs so that customers can easily match it with existing building aesthetics. In addition, its other special features include steel-coated, flat-belt technology; space-saving, a compact gearless machine, Pulse™, the ReGen® drive and energy-efficient operation that has made the Gen2 family of elevators a game-changer for the elevator industry.
