PFC Consulting Ltd (PFCCL) has empaneled ten entities that would be eligible to participate as Advanced Metering Infrastructure Service Providers (AMISP) for smart metering projects under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). PFCCL would be associated in such projects as a project implementation agency (PIA).
The empanelment has been done under four groups, depending on the size of the projects in terms of number of smart prepaid meters involved.
The four groups have been formed as follows:
Of the ten entities, four have qualified for projects falling under all the four groups. The group-wise empanelment is as shown below:
PFCCL, as the PIA, would be responsible for implementation of the smart metering projects on behalf of discoms. It is learnt that all the above empaneled AMISPs are also qualified for bidding for projects that have REC Power Development & Consultancy Ltd (RECPDCL) as the PIA.
While the final selection of AMISPs for specific projects would be based on price bids, PFCCL has the discretion of conducting a e-reverse auction process for bidder selection.
