PESL in UTs of Ladakh and J&K

According to information available with T&D India, Powergrid Energy Services Ltd (PESL) was incorporated in March 2022, as a wholly-owned subsidiary of PGCIL, to undertake the role of project management consultant for emerging business areas like energy management, power T&D, EV charging, energy storage, etc.

On December 8, 2023, PESL signed a supplementary agreement with Ladakh Power Development Department (LPDD) for implementation of Border Area Works of Ladakh UT sanctioned under RDSS Scheme. [It appears that the aforementioned contracts awarded to Ramky Infrastructure relate to this agreement.]

Earlier, in February 2023, PESL entered into two agreements for project implementation services for design, engineering, procurement, supply, erection, testing and commissioning works of distribution infrastructure works under RDSS with Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (JPDCL) and Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (KPDCL), in various districts of the UT of Jammu & Kashmir, to be implemented in two years.
