Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd (STEL) has won orders valued at around Rs.750 crore from a state power utility for works under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).
In a stock exchange filing, Salasar Techno Engineering said that it was received two letters of intent from Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitaran Nigam Ltd (PVVNL), a state power distribution utility in Uttar Pradesh, for works officially termed as “Development of distribution infrastructure for loss reduction in districts Bulandshahar, Hapur, Baghpat and Meerut of Uttar Pradesh under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).”
The scope of works covers GPS survey, design, supply, installation, GIS asset mapping, testing and commissioning works related to loss reduction on turnkey basis.
The first letter of intent pertains to the districts Hapur and Bulandshahar, and is valued at Rs.403.85 crore. The second, valued at Rs.344.61 crore, relates to the aforementioned works in the Meerut and Baghpat districts.
The project is to be executed over the next 24 months, the filing said.
“This order is a testimony of STEL’s continuous efforts to design and develop products and service solutions for advanced and reliable applications in the Indian power space,” the STEL management was quoted saying in the filing.
