Salasar Techo Engineering Ltd has announced that the company has won orders valued at Rs.238.65 crore for power transmission works in Arunachal Pradesh.
In a stock exchange communication, the company said that the orders were placed by Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL). The orders include construction of 201 km of power transmission lines and four substations in the northeastern state.
“The transmission line network will be of 132kV and the substations will be of extra high voltage capacity,” the statement from Salasar Techno said. The contract value of Rs.238.65 crore, excludes GST of 18 per cent, the company said. The orders involve supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of the transmission lines and substations.
Commenting on the order win, Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director, Salasar Techno Engineering, said, “We had participated in this tender floated by PGCIL a few months ago and have won this work based on our past experience and offering the most competitive prices. The government’s continued focus on the development of north-eastern states will keep on generating many more opportunities like this in future also.”
Over the past few years, the Salasar Techno has executed similar orders Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd, Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd, etc. The company has also executed similar orders in Assam, it said.
