Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd (SEIL) has reported a growth of 11.6 per cent in new order intake in the first half (April to September) of the current financial year, FY23.
In an investor presentation, Schneider Electric said that new order inflows in H1 of FY23 stood at Rs.666.8 crore, up 11.6 per cent from Rs.597.4 crore in H1 of FY22.
However, in the second quarter (Q2: July to September) of FY23, order inflow was marginally lower by 3.2 per cent at Rs.298.8 crore from Rs.308.7 crore in the same period of FY22. The fall in Q2 orders was due to shifting of finalization of some orders to Q3 (October to December), the presentation noted.
During Q2 of FY23, Schneider Electric won a major order from Bhutan for power distribution solutions involving the deployment of 33kV and 11kV package substations. This is a repeat order following a similar order of comparable magnitude won last year. A large order from a global data centre customer for a 33kV GIS package also featured among key orders in the period under discussion.

Transformer Analytics
Meanwhile, Schneider Electric this year globally acquired “Aurtra” – an Australia-based transformer analytics company. Aurtra has since been rebranded as “EcoStruxure Transformer Expert”.
Aurtra is a purely analytics company with sensors and software, which will help customers predict the lifecycle of their transformer assets. This will enable transformer owners to take proactive actions and extend the life of their transformers and ensure that the equipment performs to better uptime and efficiencies.
It is learnt that Schneider Electric has identified 150 potential sites in India for deployment of “EcoStruxure Transformer Expert” on a pilot basis.
