Serentica Renewables is seeking technical partners for setting up grid-scale battery energy storage systems.
Serentica Renewables has invited expressions of interest (EoI) to set up interstate transmission system-connected Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to supply 800 MWh of battery capacity to Serentica’s round-the-clock green energy projects.
Serentica is seeking technical partners worldwide to supply state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage Systems capable of delivering reliable energy storage. The projects will comprise 200 MW/400 MWh of 2-hour storage and 100 MW/400 MWh of 4-hour storage, requiring at least 51 per cent ownership by the BESS provider.
Serentica will ink a contract with the BESS Projects to procure the BESS capacity on an annual basis under a 12-year service agreement, starting June 2026 onwards.
The last day to submit the bids is July 30, 2024.
Serentica is currently executing 4 GW of projects and will deliver 2 GW per year of round-the-clock green energy to large industrial customers in India. The overall portfolio will supply more than 9 BU of clean energy annually, offsetting 8.5 million tonnes of CO2. Serentica’s vision is to supply over 50 billion units of clean energy annually in the medium term and displace 47 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.
