Siemens Ltd reported that its order backlog, as of June 30, 2022, stood at an all-time high of over Rs.17,000 crore.
In a release, Siemens said that new orders from continuing operations during the third quarter (March to June) of fiscal year 2021-22 recorded a level of Rs.4,992 crore, representing a 20 per cent growth over the comparable level last year.
The outstanding order book position, as of June 30, 2022, stood at Rs.17,856 crore, which was an all-time high for the company, Siemens said.

Commenting on the company’s performance, Sunil Mathur, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Ltd, said, “The strong performance was across all our businesses and included a significant order in our mobility business. While we are currently not experiencing a slowing down in public and private capex spending, we are concerned about global headwinds impacting demand which could result in a slowdown in capex spending.”
Note: The accounting year of Siemens Ltd runs from October to September. The period from March 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022 therefore represents the third quarter of the accounting year, which ends on September 30, 2022.
