SJVN Ltd has won solar power projects with an aggregate capacity of 320 mw under an auction conducted by Assam Power Development Corporation Ltd (APDCL).
In a stock exchange filing, SJVN said that its wholly-owned subsidiary SJVN Green Energy Ltd (SGEL) has received letters of award from APDCL for three solar power projects with cumulative installed capacity of 320 mw.
The tentative development cost of these three projects is estimated at around Rs.1,900 crore.
SGEL had participated in three separate tariff based competitive bidding tenders of APDCL – 50 mw, 70 mw and 200 mw.
The 50-mw and 70-mw projects are under solar park category and have been allotted at a tariff of Rs.3.92 per kwh and the 200-mw project is to be developed anywhere in Assam and has been allotted at a tariff of Rs.3.90 per kwh.
These three solar power projects shall be developed on build own and operate (BOO) basis. Collective generation from these projects is expected to be 628 million kwh in the first year.
SGEL will now enter into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with APDCL, and the projects are scheduled to commission within 18 months of the PPA signing, which is by March 2025.
