Skipper Ltd has recorded its highest-ever closing order book of Rs.6,590 crore, the company said in a statement.
The release noted that 85 per cent of the order book represents domestic orders while the remaining 15 per cent constitute exports.
The company has reported order inflow of Rs.1,660 crore in Q2 (July to September) of FY25. Significant domestic contracts were received from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) and state electricity boards, the release said, adding that export orders largely came from North and South American markets.
The year-to-date order inflows (from April 1, 2024 to around October 28, 2024) were Rs.2,425 crore, reflecting strong demand in both the domestic and international markets.
Skipper Ltd has three business divisions – engineering products, infrastructure, and polymer. Power T&D-related activities fall under the first two.
Commenting on the company’s Q2FY25 performance, Sharan Bansal, Director, Skipper Ltd, said, “Our highest-ever closing order book of Rs.65,900 million, with 85 per cent coming from the domestic market and 15 per cent from exports, reaffirms Skipper as the preferred partner in the transmission & distribution sector. With significant domestic contracts from PGCIL and SEBs, alongside expanding footprints in North and South America, we are poised for continued momentum. Our strong order inflow of Rs.16,600 million during the quarter is a testament to the confidence our clients place in our capabilities.”
Domestic T&D ordering displays promising signs of resurgence, while our consistent growth in international markets remains a core driver of our expansion. We see vast opportunities ahead, fuelled by India’s 500 GW renewable energy integration plan, and we are committed to being at the forefront of this transformative journey. Internationally, we foresee robust demand driven by increased transmission and distribution spending on renewables for the next decade.”
